Sentosa - Universal Studio!!!

Hi Friends, today I am gonna record a wonderful, cheerful memoir of my life time.. Before start penning down, let me say a few words about those (my friends) who made today as the one of the best day (to be remembered forever) of my life. To start with, my best friend Aishu, knowing her since 2004, who is a lead person, very much organized, proper planner yet a little late comer. Venkatesh, aishu's husband, I can proudly say he is my elder brother. Down to earth, cool and highly patient enough to go shopping with aishu. Here comes the "Kissing Queen", "Smiling Beauty" and Cute little Princess Pranathi Venkat, three and half year old, known since her birth. She really made my day, not only mine, with others too! Giri, till this moment (forever!!!) one of my best buddy, from tomorrow onwards my housemate too, knowing him for almost seven and half years, calm, cool and typical freewheeling urban youth, now working in Singapore after completing his Masters degree. Along with them, Aishu's Mom & Parent-in-law's arrived at Changi Airport yesterday night. Myself, Giri and one more best friend of mine (name not printed on her request), been there to receive and put them in a nice sleeping accommodation. Aishu is here with whole family to attend her cousin's Big D Day in Johor Bahru (JB), Malaysia. As they are leaving tonight, we spent a whole day in Universal Studio, Sentosa, which is a main tourist attraction in Singpore. Since, their travel has been made by a travel agent, they don't even have any breathing time for next 11 days in Malaysia & Singapore. After wedding in JB, they have three important task to do every single day, i.e) explore, shop and enjoy! So here starts the excitement and enjoyment of Sentosa! They have already planned and booked their tickets well in advance, they reached Sentosa on time and started exploring the Universal Studio. Since, mine and giri's plan to visit was a eleventh hour decision, we both been to Sentosa and waiting in the ticket counter. Suddenly a stranger (well an Indian!!!) approached me and offered an extra ticket of his. I was slightly puzzled and sighed giri. Giri said, sorry sir, we don't have cash in hand, we are going to buy using credit card. He just gave us the ticket worth of $74 by choice and left. By reconfirming the free ticket validity in the counter, we bought one more ticket and entered the Universal Studio. We can't wish for anything much better to start a day like this. With loads of excitement, we started experiencing all the attractions and enjoyed every moment there. Begin with Donkey Live show which was useless other than Pranathi had some food watching that dumb ass. Then queued up for Jurassic Park high flyer ride, after that enjoyed the water world show which was fantastic. Later had lunch and headed towards "The Mummy" roller coaster ride. Me, Venkat, Aishu and Giri experienced our adrenal secretion inside the tummy. It was a nice ride. Then me and giri went to enjoy the High Speed Roller Coaster Ride. In 90 secs, I clearly felt the visceral movement inside my body. In between every show, the most gratitude Singapore weather, blessed us with its gracious down pour. Searching for an umbrella and a rain coat has become a habitual act of the entire day. To soothe our senses, we four has been to King's party-go-round with Pranathi, its nothing but we call it as merry-go-round in back home. By this time, we were completely exhausted and planned to wind up our day in Sentosa with a Hollywood Dance Show. Before they start the show, a lady on my left initiated the talk and a stranger of different race has become a good acquaintance. The show was thoroughly enjoyed by Pranathi, she was clapping, singing and dancing to the tunes and become a fairy lady on her own world. As the day completed and their itinerary ticks into the next plan, except me and giri, they all left Sentosa to pack their backpacks to JB. After they left, we both been to a most spectacular and must watch Shrek 4D show, which was mind blowing and no words to describe. It was a complete fun and I would say, the full price worth that one show alone. Finally, we also started home, with few more pictures clicked and thanking that philanthropist again (an Indian stranger!!!) to offer a free ticket to top up our enjoyment with more fun and more economical. Wish this day would have last little longer, enjoyed the weekend with best buddies at best place. A Perfect Week End well spent after a long time and these memories to be cherished forever :) :) :)

Day 1 in Singapore!

On 16th September 2008 - landed in London! again after three years, on the same day, 16th September 2011 - landed in Singapore around 7 PM! Nice, small, clean country. There was no hassle in the immigration, waited in the budget terminal for my friends to arrive. Not much time to wait, they came on time. After three long years, met my friends yesterday, my heart skipped couple of beats for a second. It was a wonderful moment with good old buddies. Later, been to Ananda Bhavan Restaurant, had an early dinner. Champa has taken the cab and we started to my staying place which is in Choa Chu Kang, about 20 mins drive from airport. Here all the houses were built alike every where, reminding me about the Hostel in SRM and lingers those fantabulous days! My inmates are very sweet and jovial, hope they will enjoy my stay and bear my talking (Beware all!!!). As a first gesture of meet, again we had second dinner for their kind request and went to bed early. The real first day started today morning only, when I started using local commuting services to my cousins place. I really enjoyed this morning! I have enjoyed the beauty of Singapore in Day light. Here, its called SMRT like the Underground in London and I have got EZ Link card to commute both in bus and MRT. Its nothing but Oyster card in London, but unfortunately even after three long years of Oyster card usage, I couldn't understand how it charges for each travel. Because every time I use that I've spent more pounds than others. Hope it should not continue here too. By my own eye statistics, I have inferred that Singaporeans are much attracted or even I could say addicted to all the Apple products. Out of 6 in 10 people, owns an I phone 4 or I pad and watching a cartoon. There were so many things happened around me. To start with, a lady on my left in a decent clothing was reading a book titled "How to spend less without being miserable" so seriously. Whilst, another girl on opposite seat to her, ironically was in a gaudy, sluttish outfit with more accessories on her body, was observing very close on the book. I thought she was thinking to have one to learn how to reduce her expenses. Meanwhile, on my right there was a couple reading, talking, cuddling and finally got down in the next stop. Also, another Tamil couple were noticing as like me. Every thing is same here as in London, except with good amount of more Tamizhians around. After almost an hour of travel, I reached my cousins place and greeted them with sweets. It was a bright sunny day when I was out, but suddenly it started raining heavily. First lesson learnt in Singapore - Always carry an umbrella and never predict the weather here as I did in Oxford. After every one got accustomed to the place, a cute little angel, my niece Mayurika aged 7, started talking to me. Then she didn't stop till this minute. As the battery get drained in the mobile, she slept after a good physical activity in the park. In the evening, I got many pleasing complements from a little lady called Bhavana, my niece's friend, two year elder than her. Just now had dinner and started penning down for the day. At last with some meet & greet and with few sweet memoirs, my first day in Singapore has come to an end :)

F.R.I.E.N.D.S!!!

Friend - A friend in need is a friend indeed! Wonderful pithy, I've read till now. I believe god created this world with happiness, sorrows, envy, anger, ego, love, care & affection to share it with a friend. Anyone in this world can live sans mother, father, wife and other blood connections, but can't live without a friend. If anyone does, then he/she will not categorize under Homo Sapiens. You can share every single moments of happiness and grievance with your friend. Many of my hard times were consoled and supported by my good friends. At times I really felt that, I've been blessed with best of best buddies in my life. During my Under graduation, we played many pranks and went to Mahabalipuram as a secret outing. It was a thrill and fun filled experience, even today I think of those beautiful days and cherish myself. Those were the days, when we friends hadn't matured enough and turn their faces against each other out of an ego. Quite a lot of arguments, even some times it had gone till rolling over the ground and fighting for silly reasons. Trust me! me and my friend (for your kind information its a girl!!!) who had indulge in a fight pulling each others hair out in the big corridor of our department for no reason. Later other friends came to rescue us from fighting. Now I can all do is to laugh when I think of those days. To stand up to the mark, many of my friends, who gave me a priority in their decisions, made honor to our friendship. I do reciprocate the same, indeed. Care is a ultimate thing you can offer to any one. Not only my friends, even their family loves me very much. I am so lucky to have them as my friends, even to consider me as one in their family. When ever I need a suggestion in any point of time, I've my very close set of friends to help me with their valuable ideas. I always want to perceive things in others shoes, so my friends become a first priority to me. Even in a recent past, I've call out for an idea to my pals and received few good ones. Also, just now wrote a good letter for my best buddy about him at his best times. Those were the real happiness. Not only here, even when I was in Oxford, I've been blessed with some goodies, who are to be remembered till my last breathe, because they mean to me so much. In an alien ground, being alone, those friend of mine were so supportive and been a huge strength to oneself and stood with me in my both hard and funny times. Because of their presence, those funny days has become a wonderful & memorable days of my life. Strangers and enemy can be forgotten easily, but a friend can never be a stranger nor an enemy to forget. Good hope, more motivation, create opportunity, push you forward and see you on top of the world, only your mother can do. But if you are fortunate enough, even your friend can do that. I feel proud because, I certainly have those quality filled good souls in my life. They are my friends and I am blessed to have those people in my heart. In a recent times, I've met a couple of people and became so close, as they feel, I am their good friend. Thank god, for their good friendship and that's keep any one moves forward in life. Really these friends are very rare to get, for me its my fortune and strength that I met these people, shared my happiness, helped to get them out of their problems, understands them in a better way, avoiding ego & attitude, making our life wonderful with their beautiful presence & memories, thank you all for those colorful days in the past & yet to come in the future! To conclude with a good note, mentioning here a forward message of my friend, who sent me ages back, as Definition of a FRIEND - Few Relation In Earth that Never Die! I am honored and honoring our friendship too :)

Oxford, UK :)

Oxford - a place I wish to be, a place where I've many sweet memories, a place where I found few trusty buddies and loved ones. Also this is a place I was more responsible, met few morons, got cheated and had nasty fights etc. But still I love being there anytime in my life. Cold breeze and little sun shine makes a perfect day during summer, whereas in winter people of Oxford are blessed with snow and blood clotting wind. Fresh air flowing every where! Foggy clouds makes the vision so blurred, always gives a feeling of depression during winter, still wonderful. Its a difficult time for anyone who could drive on winter, to break the air for commuting. In this fast moving city the life become more busier and the day by day it turns out to be so enjoyable during summer. Number U1, 5 and 8 of Oxford Bus company was my chariot, always finds a place to sit and relax my whole journey with apple iphone. Brookes University gave me a award for my excellence. Though the native hates other race, they wont show it on your face. Especially, Oxford being a student county, you can't find one who humiliates you. Still, there would be some, to prove that along with angel, evil also exists. Every place has its own attractions in Oxford, whilst for me every place carries any (either good or bad) memories happened there. Most good memories are treasured in my mind and heart along with my friends, whereas bad memoirs too have a scar for its worst experience. Few people who I met in Oxford gave me support and good friendship. Also others who had a tough time with me gave me the courage to fight for my right and taught me how to be more wary all the time. Oxford city center, streets of Headington, Barton, Cowley center can't get erased from my mind. Each place reminds me of different things and refresh my mind with those beautiful moments. Each time I think of those places I would be too excited and happy to be part of those fond memories and my heart will skip a beat to make me come to reality. Domino's cowley, sure to be mentioned here. Got to know life better in this place. Met many noteworthy personnel and shared a good rapport not only in work, but also in life, whereas in the same place met few unworthy trashes, with whom I can't even think of standing a minute. Anyway, life will deliver you the best along with some shit. You have to be grown and mature enough to make the most of your best, I did indeed!

ANB, My Hide Out!

AN Biotechnology, One-quarter year old research lab in Chennai. Gave me an opportunity to work and being my hide out for the moment. To born with In plant training for various aspects of Biotechnology and will planning to climb up the ladder by doing some Contract Research and Kit Manufacturing. To stumble the market, venture into R&D as it grows. This will be the company's mission and vision as of now. Started by Mr. Mani, as a cog in the wheel, Miss. Saranya (Business Analyst), Miss. Jeeji and me (as a Research Analysts) rolling the big stone from down the hill heading towards the tip. Those who did Biotechnology will know the intensity of pain, pragmatic difficulties and hard work it pulls from us. Dr. Varadharajan and Dr. Ananya Jeshtadi (Scientific Advisers), who walk along with ANB as a shadow of strength and give us a hand when ever required. Being an example of research lab, as it should be, ANB follows all the Health and Safety procedures, keeping the safety and quality as first priority, provided to the students. By God's blessing, we started our first batch of Basic Molecular Biology Training on 14 June 2011. Total of 4 joined, one of them being an ENT specialist, Doctor by profession (Dr. Rukesh) and rest three are pre final year B.Tech Biotechnology students (Miss. Ramya, Miss. Nandhini & Miss Rameez) from Shree Sastha Engineering College. Meanwhile, the training sessions, The Hindu - Educational Plus had established our presence by publishing a write up on Monday, 13 June 2011, only on Chennai and a week followed issue (20 June 2011) carried us to rest of the Tamil Nadu. Trust me! We got an amazing response and many enquires regarding not only our where-abouts but also many students who seek advise for what to pursue after their graduation. ANB was overwhelmed! Just four professional graduates with two senior scientists are in the venture to seek the likely impossible, into possible. Their training sessions were almost done by today, Dr. Ananya came all the way from Hyderabad to listen to their final presentation of what they had learnt in the last half a month and to distribute their certificates of award. Most likely, the valedictory function will get over by tomorrow and we have to move forward for next batch, awaiting to start their Advanced Molecular Biology programme on Thursday. Whilst, there were also some students waiting for Diploma and final year projects need to be done by upcoming weeks. Being a busy bee, here I conclude :)

Scotland Trip - Most Enjoyable & Treasurable one!

Here takes a Scotland Highlands tour for three days with little hesitance, later at the end of the trip, it become more enjoyable and most treasurable one in my life. If we would have taken any other choice other than highlands, I am sure that it wont be more fun than this. For that we must thank Mahesh for making all arrangements and organize the trip with the most reluctant assess (me, Davin & Mama). Honestly, we didn't help him in anyway other than financially, but here worth mentioning that I was the one who recommended this particular package. Anyway, let me stop thanking and start our journey, it goes like this. Mahesh booked the air ticket from Luton to Glasgow, and from there to highland experience package tour for two days including accommodation in a youth hostel at Loch ness. But for some strange reason Mama has suddenly changed his mind and went to Glasgow by train a day prior to our actual plan. He is crazy, really crazy, no word would suit him better than this. So, its only three of us (Of course, 3 idiots) started from Oxford by early morning by taxi and reached Luton airport well in advance. There was another crack head made mess regarding taxi, he inflated our cost of travelling by 35 pounds, since because he didn't keep up his word. Due to space and time restriction, I don't want to swear him here. Later, we took the Easy fly flight, which was more worse than local bus in India. There were no seating arrangements done, flight was too congested. Some how, we made it to Glasgow in time and started our highland tour there. We were taken by Mercedes mini van to sterling and from where we were taken to Dunkeld cathedral along with another three people, who are very nice and warm (of which one from Canada named Ms Susan and a Mom & daughter from Australia called Mrs Helen and Ms Freya). That cathdral was 1400 years old and has very beautiful scenery. If you are an aesthetic person, then you would dwell on its natural beauty. Then we moved for lunch at Pitlochry, at first we were so excited seeing an Indian restaurant there. Later we regretted for stepping inside because of poor hospitality and especially a guy whose spikes irked me a lot. I called him by name Cobra. I forgot to mention our Driver, Mr Tim. Really a very nice person, informative and a good singer too. He made us laugh out of our gut and I would certainly suggest him for anyone who would like to visit Scotland. From there our journey leads to Culloden battle field, where the British army crushed the Scottish clans. It was so brutal one in a sort of our Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Then, we reached Inverness and Loch ness, real beauty of nature, where 7 freshwater river joins. There are the glacier melt out of the mountains from Scottish Highlands, it was also heard most for its Loch ness Monster. There our one day trip comes to end and we been brought to youth hostel. A trip bonus was, next day morning boat trip which was not included in the actual plan. But, the location of that lake was awesome and bloody stunning. We had a chance to get a glimpse of the Urquhart historic castle of Loch ness and after boat trip we headed towards Glencoe, a Ski centre, splendid view which I've seen before only in the Window's wall paper. In between our travel, Tim stopped then and there for us to record the Scotland beauty in our Camera. To finish our second day trip, we had a lunch and seen some more beautiful sceneries along both sides of the road and landed again in Glasgow. Now, another big surprise came to us in the name of Premier Inn hotel, which was a 3 star hotel. Stayed there for really at lower economic price and enjoyed every minute of it. Next day, the final day of our trip headed towards Edinburgh, which was huge and massive. It was 5 times the scaled up version of Oxford. We been to the historic Edinburgh castle and spent a whole day there before leaving to Oxford. We never stopped clicking pictures anytime in this three days. That results in 1300 pics, almost to 4 GB in my external hard disc. There comes a mood swing for one idiot among us and he was roaming all alone. Here I ought mention what Mahesh asked me to say, i.e. if you are out for a trip with friends, keep your mobile off, otherwise some body will spoil your fun and joy. I hope this message would be received by that AH in a good tone. Then back to Glasgow, and to Luton and finally trip ended at Oxford St. Clements street. Though, the trip came to an end, not the fun, which grows every day when those memories are cherished forever!

India - World CHAMPIONS!!!!!

Wow, What a match it was? What a man he (Dhoni) is? What a shot was he playing to end the innings? Can't hold the nerves down.. Great pleasure to be a part of that wonderful joy. Being under pressure and huge spectators, Indian Team proved again their best after 28 years. Fun, fervor and flair were immense and made every single Indian to be proud all over the world. I, myself was flabbergasted after witnessed the glorious victory of Team India, making record once again. Sachin Tendulkar, best of mankind and I don't have words to describe his attitude towards cricket. Though Indian Team has won the cup, his individual performance were upbeat and as many team mates said it's for Sachin and only to SACHIN. Casting my mind back to quarterfinal, Aussies so called best team and world champions, can't put up a tight fight with India, especially to Yuvraj. Though Punter made commendable century under pressure, but all went in vain. He did admit his mistakes of his arrogance and wished India to lift the cup. That was a first victory. Then comes a most awaited, arch rival match at Mohali. Trust me, there were so many Anti-Indians (I mean Pakis) in Oxford, were humiliating me and my friends before they got defeated. It was almost for a week. I prayed myself just to win this particular semi final to cut their thing down (I mean nose!). Because, before when they won T20 championship, they were making riot in public places and indulge in spat against any Asian. They even challenged us that Akthar was enough to create panic to Indian batting line up, we don't want him to take any wickets as we have front line bowlers like Gul and Afridi to take up wickets. Insha-allah, I swear that they didn't play Akthar on that match, otherwise India would have crossed 300 plus in the score board. Finally, Gul was thrashed by Shewag and Afridi couldn't manage to pick up not even a single wicket on his entire spell. I strongly call this as the case of mere arrogance and poor sportsmanship. Apparently, their defeat has come as a sheer reflection of their humiliation. Even more, that has back fired them and still I couldn't manage to see them properly, as they were sneaking in and out. After their defeat, they were saying, it just a match! God damn how a result of a match will change a person, I am shocked. They even were saying that, their team had a strong inter politics, thats why they lost. I've one simple and single question to them, Don't you know they have this ugly spat in your team before challenging and humiliating us? There was no answer to this question from any of them. Though their captain appreciated Team India for being better side and deserved to qualify for finals, these morons in Oxford were cursing Indian Team again, not to win the trophy. As silly as their behavior, they even enjoyed Shewag, Sachin and Goutam's fall of wickets on final match, doesn't have any sportsmanship. Finally, when Dhoni knock the ball out of the boundary with his own style of finishing the game, every body around me were brought to ground and only cheer between my fellow Indians. To be honest, I wouldn't take this victory so hard, if I were in India. Because, in India, we used to cheer for a day or two in case of victory and will thrash the team if they lose. But here the whole scenario was different, as Indian Team defeats were enjoyed and mortified by others, I can't get out of this victory so easily. It was a great moment not for only winning the world cup, but also for showing these morons our middle fingers up. Here I ought mention Mehala Jeyawardane's century and Sangakarra's genial gratitude for Indian Team victory was fabulous and made them stand out of others. Before putting my pen's down, I want to reveal the secret of success for India (in a light hearted note), i.e. RAJNIKANTH who decided before and thats why he came all the way from Chennai to Munbai, apart from his busy schedule to watch the match, to see India defeat Srilanka and also ordered Gary to get Dhoni down ahead of Yuvraj. Again with a big cheer and wishing a row of victory's for Dhoni and his boys, I conclude :)

V-Day eat out!!!!

Wow, wonderful evening and a good relishing dinner... kudos to my friends (Govind, Merrila & Sangeetha) and they really made my day today. No plans, no preparations still it was awesome.. Just a meet at McD, then turn into an excellent early dinner tonight. First thought of jumping into KFC, but everyone associated here are as whim as me, so decided to pop into Nando's. Since today is a V day, there was a huge 'Q' for the table. Gotta wait for a quarter hour, finally decided to order a full platter chicken to hunt as all of us were waiting for the moment to grab a piece of mouthwatering peri-peri chicken. While preordering itself Govind got busy with his friend over his phone. It's worth mentioning here, that he has got his brand new iphone 4 just a month back. Moving in and around the shop, make sure that every other girl having a look at his phone and style of talking, he concluded his talk with a good note to join us on the dinner table. Whilst, me, merrila and sangeetha were getting a view over next table as well as the other couples and started enjoying the full love ambiance flowing around us (though I am single, I swear!). There was a lovely couple came to dinner with a heart shaped red balloon and having a wonderful time over there. Mean time we got our chicken and its a time to serve our tummy. Later, I was making a prank call to my manager and his girl friend to convey my wishes. One such moment, I saw a cute British girl, about 5 feet 3 inch tall with her designer model heel shoes. I was jaw dropped and looking at her face (only face.. guys stop imagining), by the way my friends helped me to realize that she came along with her boyfriend. Still, I can't stop looking at her which she did notice that twice to my knowledge. Then we were tittle-tattling about all the non worthy matters and left the place as the lady politely made a sigh to take out our plates. From there moved to bus stop and saw Visma and Fati, another couple friend of mine and merrila, who had finished their work and on the way to dinner. Just a casual talk and a greet with them for exactly a couple of minutes as their bus approached on time and govind & sangeetha also taken the same bus to their home. Then me and merrila have taken a next bus where she got down at her stop and I came back to my hide out. Finally, today started very slow and lousy for me but ended very well :) Atleast had a nice time with a good friends on valentine's day though. Hope to get my valentine sooner this year or before next V day!!! Keeping fingers crossed ;)
